Title: Dark Seed
Post by: Tupin on August 06, 2012, 09:22:10 PM
Discussing mid 90's PC games, because nothing else will get people to look.

Dark Seed is a pretty weird game where you're a guy with an alien fetus implanted in your brain, and have to stop an alien invasion by going to a dark world and cutting off their access to the real one. Dark Seed II is pretty much the same thing, but somehow even weirder.

The games themselves aren't that great, but they are pretty enthralling for some reason. The protagonist in both games is sort of a loser, which makes situations with characters pretty awkward.

Anyone ever play it, or hear of it? I guess we can discuss other 90's adventure games, too.

I should note that I actually tried playing these games for a bit, it's amazing how terrible the second one is. I mean, Mike Dawson is completely different in both games.

Definitely not one of adventure gaming's high points.

I haven't played them, but I have seen them played.  Yeah, they aren't high points.  You gotta love Geiger's art though.
And yeah.  Dawson is kind of a loser.

Why?  Well.... Here, this will explain everything.
