The person significant to NSFCD, way to guess Mack! Star donated $500 dollars to run NSF, and I believe he donated a good amount again later on (correct me if I'm wrong). He's been a popular member and much loved, making it this far doesn't happen without reason. Phaze and Jr both ranked him third in their lists (out of 13 and 17 respectively).
