Title: Windwaker port on Wii...
Post by: Tupin on November 29, 2007, 02:31:19 PM
The creator of Zelda said it could happen, so say what you want.

1.They use the Wii remote as a Windwaker
2.DS-Wii connectivity instead of GBA-GCN connectivity
3.Added side quests
4.More items and trading items
5.Improved graphics
6.More islands
7.The one extra dungeon they were going to add instead of giving you the 3rd pearl
8. $39.99

They could call it The Legend of Zelda The Windwaker: Platinum Wii Edition. ;D

I'd buy it just to play through Windwaker again with better graphics, alot of new goodies to find, wii controls, etc. And it'd only be $40? I'd buy it the first chance I could. I really liked that game.

I wonder if and how they could implement wii controls into the sailing parts...?

Oh man... I remember those parts where all of a sudden it'd get dark and rain and lightning and bad stuff would happen. The music didn't help either. I remember trying to outrun those shark things. I did, but I didn't like it. :P One of the few times a game has actually scared me like that in a while. My friend said he actually LIKED those parts. o.O; I do too I guess for that thrill, but gosh it's so creepy.

Windwaker is the best Zelda game on a console in my opinion. :)

I got a better idea! On the Wii shop channel under Wii Ware you go to update gamecube game. You put the gamecube version in your Wii and it recognises it. It costs $20 or 2000 Wii points to upgrade. It downloades the upgrades to your Wii. Then you can use them for the game. When you insert the game, it asks if you want to do Wii edition or not.

P.S. That would be fun with Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion too!

That WOULD be a good idea. Especially with new games, too.

When you function in the price of the GCN game, and then the upgrade price, that's super expensive.

Not necessarily. Hell, how expensive could a sealed copy of the game be? 20$ plus tax. Add to that the $20 patch and it's basically the same thing as purchasing the game on a Wii disc for 39.99.

I wouldn't mind a WW Wiimake, but I'm not sure about the rest. I would really like if Capcom remade Resident Evil 2 in the vein of of REmake for the Wii. Hell, I'd settle for a RE4 like experience.

9. Options menu that includes settings for control style, sound test, etc. (for control style, supports both GCN controller and Wiimote+Nunchuk)
10. After finishing game, option to use Tunic or seagull blue suit when creating a new file rather than limiting it to the file you beat
11. 2nd quest unlocked at same time as seagull suit and also selected upon creating a new file. Some dungeons possibly changed a bit and harder difficulty.
12. Different tunic colors changeable upon some sidequest (or different shirt/pants colors with seagull suit)
13. Multiplayer of some sort
14. Wiimote control of Wind Waker, Camera, Boomerang, Hookshot, Grappling Hook, Swords, Seagulls (pear mind control), bow, and Deku Leaf when using Wii controls. Possibly bottles too.
15. Ability to use Wiimote in the minigames

stfu if I spoiled the game for you. You should've already finished.

I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't beaten this game.

I just LOVE windwaker. It's one of my favorite games ever.

I'd buy an upgraded Wii version of it.

It's an awesome game & if they worked it up for the Wii, I'd definitely get it.  Even though you can play the GC version on the Wii, it would still be great if they did it.

How about instead of rehashing old games, we get new games?
