... What would be the best game to start with? I know my name has Marth in it, but I haven't played a single FE game!
Personally, I saw nine for the sole reason that, besdies 10, it would be the easiest to find at the moment, is on the Gamecube, and has a newly released sequal.
Probably FE7, it's the best of the GBA games.

Start with 7. It has a good tutorial in it on the first 10 chapters and is also my second favorite Fire Emblem game. Uh, yeah. That's about it.

I'd have to say the second one on the game boy advance, sacred stones, thats the only one in the series I beat.
If you're looking for the easiest, go with Sacred Stones. It's better that you get the hang of FE with this game rather than go through hell restarting chapters on FE7 (or at least in my case).

yeah plus the fact that you can rome around leveling up unlike in the other games where its level after level makes it much easier.
what about the gamecube ones(there was 2 wasn't there?), how are they?
Path of Radiance is the only game on Gamecube and it's an ok game to start with too. The reason for this is because you are able to manage exp at your base and assign skills to whomever you desire. Radiant Dawn is the newest of the series and is on the Wii. I haven't played it but I hear it's an extremely difficult game so I would advise not to go with that.
So it would be best to go with Path of Radiance or Sacred Stones first.
Plot wise, though, SS is usually regarded as the worst, IIRC.

Actually I'v heard path of radiance has a new save feature that allows you to save in the middle of a battle giving you a chance to save your characters if one should die.

I know but its probably one of the few people will actually be able to finish. I like the story in the first game boy advance one in america but I gave up just before reaching the final boss, at like the level before the last level.

No, that's Radiant Dawn. PoR had a suspend featuer but you could only load from it once and then it would vanish, so... in the end, it didn't really work as a "save feature." If I'm remembering how it worked, at least.

oh sorry I meant radiant dawn, the one on the wii.
Whatever you do, don't start with Radiant Dawn. That game is so hard... I'm only playing normal mode, and I'm on Part III ch. 5 or 6 and I've had the game for a month and it's the only FE game that I haven't beaten.
*sigh* Radiant Dawn Normal in America = Radiant Dawn Hard in Japan.
Marth was in the Japan-only original Fire Emblem. You should try Path of Radiance.

Well I just got Radiant Dawn, and I've played FE7, SS, and PoR. What level should I do?

I went with Normal. Sure, it's a little bit difficult, but the hardest part is the beginning.
