We all know that there's one last third party spot. Now, only a few have suggested Siegfried and Nightmare for Brawl.
But the fact is...
...They might take that last 3rd party spot.
Since Soul Calibur Legends came out only a little while ago for the Wii, they might just take Nightmare and stick him into Brawl because he was in a Wii game.
Also, Soul Calibur would fit well into Brawl because it's already a fighting game, so it would be easier to make a moveset.

No. Mega Man, Pac-Man, and Bomberman have been around for eons, so why would some 10-year n00b like Nightmare get in?
Joking aside, your argument could be rebuffed with an argument for each of those listed above. Mega Man helped build Nintendo's status as a gaming company, Pac-Man is the first video game character, and Bomberman is accepted as Wario's rival. The latter two have already starred in Nintendo crossovers, and all three have video games on the DS and coming to the Wii. I'm not saying Siegfried can't be in Brawl, but he most definitely not has the shoe-in for final third party. Also, according to some recent interview (I forgot which one) Sakurai said they would be adding more third parties, which may or may not indicate more than 3 third parties.

Bomberman certainly has the credentials, especially Nintendo's relationship with Hudson. I think we could pretty much assume only third party mascots are getting in.

I don't hate him and he has a small chance, but he's going up against Pac Man; honestly, it doesn't look to bright for him. And yes, his games are awesome, but a lot of Sonic's recent games are... subpar... and he made it in. It's the value of the character, not just the value of their game.
