There are still forced costume selections in Team Battle. I was hoping that was left out. >:(
i think its good but i was hoping there would be more color selections
It's so limiting; I always wanted to have teams like Dr. Mario & Nurse Peach in Melee, but it simply was unobtainable. At the least though, he could have added more color choices like white or something.
If only... It would be great to be able to choose either costume or color.
What was the update? I usually rely on the "Update of the Day" thread but it's not being updated. I can't get on the Dojo at school. :'(

Today's Update is the Team Healer item. You throw it at people and they get health back. He also mentions that there are still 3 team colors: Red, Green, and Blue.
If there were no forced colors, it would be a lot harder to realize who is your teammate at a glance.
And if you really want to play without forced colors, play an FFA match. When two people on the same team "die" they lose. The only real downfall (IMO. I myself play with Friendly Fire On because I play live and breathe tourney style smash) is that you can't take lives from each other.

What about when using Pikachu and using hats instead of colors?
Also, are you gonna use the Team Healer thing?

I don't get what you're talking about for the Pikachu thing.
I don't know if I'll use it at all yet, as I don't know how much it heals (for sure).

pikachu's fur still changes slightly with a hat...and i will only do eet if i can play on Dawei's side on wi-fi :)
I think team mode can work out fine without forced colors. If you asked me it's really annoying when you're facing two of the same character that are on a team. One of them is lighter than the other but it's hard to know which one has more damage than the other. Annoys me all the time.

I imagine he could just have icons of the team color over allies as in Classic Mode. As for FFA & Friendly Fire, my friends are all beserking idiots, so I find either impossible to do.
I'd really prefer ICONS above their heads, that way you could pick your color...
