-noticeably? I have like 1g ram and windows XP, and wow it goes crazy fast. my parents get jealous lawl with their petty 512s...

If you're not running them all at once, no. Although you may want to use CCleaner to get rid of old crap in your registry.

No, but just have them on their on the hard drive slow it down? I just installed GIMP and a free MMO I saw g4 recommend.

GIMP...no, unless you're downloading it from some dubious third-party source.

AIM has more security holes than Swiss cheese; get Trillian or one of the other multiple-support IM clients.

I can't live without AIM. Plus, most people I know use AIM, and there is one person I would spend my entire night with on AIM. and we do.

...were you not reading what I just said? There are programs out there that let you talk to people on not only AIM, but also YIM, MSN, and others at the same time. Get one of those instead of using vanilla AIM.

AIM is borderline. Horrible bloatware and is poopty...use Pidgin or Trillian.
