Most likely. Then that would mean that some bosses would be playable. ;D

I think some bosses already are playable. I think ancient minister is playable beacause he got his name when he popped up shown on the screen where Petey didn't.

not Gannondorf that was in Melee, Ganon the giant monster that was the final boss in OoT

Not a bad idea. The should make the cutscene that starts the boss battle look like this movie (click here) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUAYO7Zyydk).

Zelda would have been seperated from Kirby, Yoshi from Link, and Zelsa has gotten captured again. Through a side scrolling level, Link reaches Gannon's lair. Then in a cutscene much like that YouTube video, but with SSBB graphics, Link frees Zelda. Then Gannon appears, and Link and Zelda team up to defeat him. And yes, there has to be dancing.

Well Bowser is probably a boss... so I would expect some bosses to be playable.

That's likely the way to unlock Ganondorf, so yes, he will be. Either that, or Vaati's Deity Form, which after beating gives you Vaati.
