Since Japan gets Brawl on Jan 24 that's exactly a month from now. That means the game is finished in development and they are preparing for shipping the copies. So this means Megaman can't possibly be in because that article recently found was posted probably some time in early December so adding Megaman right now is too late. So since Megaman isn't in is anybody going to see if there's something going on between Brawl and any other outside game producers? Discuss.
In that article, Inafune says the game isn't going to be released for a few months, hinting at an old interview.

There is still time!

Then there was either a mistranslation or the statement is a lie.

Yes but three months notice is way to little time to put a character in. It would require a conference, trophies, final smash, how to unlock him. Sakurai must have been close to finishing when this article was posted. You just can't simply add a character when you have everything done. Megaman wasn't even highly requested.
i think he still has a chance. we will have to see
The development is over. CHEER DANGIT! >:(

A conference takes a day, and it doesn't take long to come up with ideas, just to implement them, and keep in mind that the people making this game made all of Melee in a few months; adding a new character doesn't take long, just making the models does and it would take a team of professionals a week tops. Oh, and Mega Man was second most requested after Sonic.

Plus, Melee was made in just a little over 1 year.

Yes. GoNintendo has been wrong before (CoroCoro magazine?), so I wouldn't follow their words like a holy doctrine.
You do realize that the full roster had to have been set this time LAST year (dec. of 06) to really have any chance of being release at it's scheduled release. I don't know what Inafunte (sp?) knows, but I doubt he'll blatantly spill the beans like that. After all, Sakurai got insanely PO'ed when Aonuma let people konw Sheik and Dorf are still in it, who annoyed woudl Sakurai be if an out of house developer told something about the game?
capcom's rep= Viewtiful Joe (good chance)
Just 'cause he's not on the site, doesn't mean he isn't playable, they gotta have some cool surprises
We'll find out when Brawl releases.

Actually we'll find out by January 24. Japan gets their copies that day and Sakurai will probably stop doing updates. We'll most likely get his profile on the Dojo with a movies just like Sonic and Snake were presented. But you can't argue that the game's development has been over for a atleast a month and it's too late add anything now unless they want to delay it again except we got two months in advance before Dec 3 that the game would be delayed in January. And with a mere month to go the game will most likely arrive on Feb 10 as planned.
