Title: Animal Crossing Trophies - Assist Trophy Ideas Wanted!
Post by: Java on December 27, 2007, 11:29:06 AM
With the announcement of Coin Launcher, we got to see various trophies that made it into Brawl. My biggest surprise was that 2 Animal Crossing trophies appeared in this update:

In this picture we can see a trophy for Phyllis & Pelly and Tortimer (The Mayor)
I have a feeling we will be seeing even more Animal Crossing representation in Brawl.

I hope there's even more Animal Crossing trophies in Brawl, but we will just have to wait and see.

Java_Java's Animal Crossing Trophy Ideas
Animal Crosser (The main character of Animal Crossing. You name him or her and you play as him or her. He or she basically is you. If Animal Crosser didn't have a trophy in Melee, its time he takes his rightful position. Animal Crosser would be playable too ;D)
Tom Nook (This stingy tanooki (sp?) makes your life in Animal Crossing possible. He gives you your home and later upgrades it. Nook owns a shop which can be upgraded various times. In his shop you can buy countless tools that will assist you in your game and furniture to decorate your home. He is already in the background of Smashville and is one of the most known characters of Animal Crossing)
Mr. Resetti (Mr. Resetti is a mole who hates resetting. If you ever turn off your game without saving, you have to face the wrath of Resetti. This mole is known for his extremely long rants and will make you want to save every time you play. Mr. Resetti is already in Brawl in the form of an Assist Trophy who you guessed it, bores you to sleep while giving his rants.)
K.K. Slider (K.K. Slider is probably one of the most beloved Animal Crossing characters. KK is a traveling musician who comes to your village and plays music. He always gives you a copy of the song he plays. In the Gamecube version, he plays in front of the Town Gate (I believe?) and in Wild World he plays in The Roost. K.K. Slider is already in Brawl as a special bonus to Smashville. Every Saturday at 8 PM, K.K. will be giving a performance just for us.)
Animal Crossing Villagers (Just like the F-Zero Pilots Trophy, This a trophy of all the possible villagers in Animal Crossing that can live in your village.)
Blanca (Although I've never seen her, she's one of the more notable characters to Animal Crossing fans because you can draw on her face. Maybe you can draw on her trophy in Brawl?  :D)
Blathers & Celeste  (Blathers & Celeste are the two owls who work at the museum. Blathers is in charge of the exhibits while Celeste is in charge of the observatory. Their trophy will be a duo trophy just like Phyllis & Pelly's trophy.)
Brewster (Brewster works in The Roost, which is located in the museum. He is seen in Smashville, serving coffee to the audience of the fight.)
The Able Sisters (Mable and Sable are the two tailors who let you design patterns. They'd be another pair trophy just like P & P and Blathers & Celeste)
Pitfall Seed(A trophy of the Animal Crossing item used in Brawl. You can bury this seed in the ground and unsuspecting villagers might just fall in a hole!)
Nook's Nephews (I know one is Tommy but I can't remember the other's name. Well this is another paired trophy of Tommy and the other nephew who join Nook once he upgrades his shop.)
Joan (A trophy of the Turnip saleswoman. Joan sells white turnips and red turnips. You can sell your white turnips at the Stalk Market to Tom Nook and Red Turnips are sold to Nook as well . The bigger the better)

Trophies submitted by others:
Ai and Yu (Appeared in the Animal Crossing movie, would be different than normal Crosser because they are both on one trophy.) - Submitted by TuppyLuver1
Animal Crossing Villagers (Instead of all the villagers grouped together, some will have individual profiles) - Submitted by Cornwad
Smashville (Like the Melee stages, this is a stage of Smashville with all the villagers) - Submitted by tollhouse2006
Nook's Cranny (A trophy of Nook's first shop) - Submitted by GrimTuesday
Nook 'N' Go (A trophy of Nook's second shop)
Nookway (A trophy of Nook's third shop)
Nookingtons (A trophy of Nook's fourth and final shop)
Town Gate (A trophy of the Town Gate where other Animal Crossing players can come and go)
Don Resetti (This is Mr. Resetti's younger brother. Tall, slim, and constantly in his brother's shadow, Don is much more passive and laid back than his brother, but does his duty when the time comes.) - Submitted by NINNIN6
Pete (Pete the Pelican is the village postman, and faithfully delivers your mail. There are rumors of him and Pelly being a couple, but Pete's love interest is actually Phyllis.) - Submitted by NINNIN6
Gullivan (Occassionally this poor seagull would wash up on the beach shipwrecked. For hearing his tale of woe though, he would give the kind ear a rare artifact.) - Submitted by NINNIN6
Kap'n (This kappa used to row the boat to take the Crosser to Animal Island, singing his passenger a seaman's song. Lately though, he has been seen driving people around in his new taxi.) - Submitted by NINNIN6
Travelling Merchants (A trophy of Gracie, Sahara, Wendell, and Katrina) - Submitted by NINNIN6
Crazy Redd & Lyle [A trophy of the con artist duo. Lyle sells health insurance (I think?) and I don't know what Crazy Redd sells] - Submitted by NINNIN6

Assist Trophy Ideas
Wendell the Walrus:
Wendell comes out of the assist trophey, and being the hungry pinnaped he is, goes around eating items. After eating enough items, Wendell will cover the whole screen with wallpaper. The type off wallpaper will change depending on the types and number of items Wendell ate. If he doesn't eat any items, he doesn't put up wallpaper.

It would say "Future Release" under their bio. ::)

His name is Brewster :P

Why not make individual tropheys for certain villagers like Ribbot or Vesta.
The F-Zero racers have their own tropheys now...
If not a trophey, individual villagers should be stickers. If Pit's Bow can become a sticker, than anything can.

But would Sakurai add a trophy from a movie?

I just thought of another one.

The Able Sisters (Mable and Sable are the two tailors who let you design patterns. They'd be another pair trophy just like P & P and Blathers & Celeste)

I guess that could be possible.

Pokemon had many trophies in Melee.

I just grouped them all together because you don't get to see all the villagers.
Speaking of which, I wish I had better villagers. I have all the jerks.  :-X

Victoria is self-centered and Limberg is just angry. :D

If you're going to discuss villagers, go to the Animal Crossing board. Stay on topic.

None of them? Okay. 0_o
Don Resetti - This is Mr. Resetti's younger brother. Tall, slim, and constantly in his brother's shadow, Don is much more passive and laid back than his brother, but does his duty when the time comes.

Pete - Pete the Pelican is the village postman, and faithfully delivers your mail at... I can't remember the time. =P There are rumors of him and Pelly being a couple, but Pete's love interest is actually Phyllis.

Gullivan (I haven't played Wild World, so I'm not to sure about his new role) Occassionally this poor seagull would wash up on the beach shipwrecked. For hearing his tale of woe though, he would give the kind ear a rare artifact.

Kapp'n - This kappa used to row the boat to take the Crosser to Animal Island, singing his passenger a seaman's song. Lately though, he has been seen driving people around in his new taxi.

Traveling Merchants - Gracie, Sahara... I forget the walrus's name... Crazy Redd, and Katrina.

I'm not an avid AC player, sorry. :(

Um, Don Resetti, Pete, Gullivan, and Kap'n. I guess the travelling merchants could have them too.
Could you add a description to them because I haven't encountered them yet.

Poor Wendell. He is the single greatest character in Animal Crossing, yet you forget his name  :'(

He should be an AT... but then he would be almost exactly like Munchlax...
I know, but he never eats my fruit.

I hope there's more food options in Animal Crossing Wii.
You could give him Candy in GCN...
But He only likes fish... makes sense.
In the movie, he eats rice balls.

... Strange...
There's an Animal Crossing game coming for the Wii?

They started working on it in mid 2006, stopped working on it so they could make Wii Sports and began working on it again Summer/Fall 2007.

Would Lyle (The Insurance Salesman) count as a Traveling Merchant?

Maybe you could put Lyle and Crazy Redd on a trophy together since they're a con artist duo.

Okay.

Great idea!
I just don't think he cover the WHOLE screen with wall paper. Maybe there could be a few holes in the wallpaper?

Yeah...  mabye it could be in the shape of a house...
