Just curious. Who plays a real instrument?
I'm a bassist, but I haven't been playing it very long. I'm gettin' better though.

LOL.
Coincidentally, I started bass 4 days ago, and I began piano lessons 4 years ago. (I quit piano lessons after a year)

Get lessons or practice really hard.
Look at Eric Clapton. When he started guitar, he almost quit because it was really hard. But ever since the late 60's, he's been a guitar God.
Guitar player ;D
Just got a Gibson Maestro electric guitar, and it's awesome. I suck at playing it(I'm more used to my classical) but I suppose practice would be a good thing :P
Wow I play bass too! I've been playing for a couple of months now. Have you guys learned TABs yet?
I've been playing trumpet for 4 years.
I play piano and, er... French horn. :P

I sorta get the whole idea of bass but I'm gonna start lessons next month so I can learn it totally right.
i play guitar, sax and trombone. Sax and trombone for 6 years and guitar for 3.
I play piano, and I'm thinking of picking up guitar now that I've gotten good at Guitar Hero. xD
I finally learned my first song on bass, Another One Bites The Dust. Learned the main riff last night.

I got a Squier too, a Squier jazz bass.
What kinda Squier d'ya got?
Clarinet. I've been a school band kid since 4th grade. Otherwise, nothing.
I've been playing the trumpet for, oh... 4 or 5 years now. I really enjoy it, heck, I don't know where I'd be right now if I never joined band.
Besides the plastic guitar, I can also play bass and three types of saxophone.
I'm much better at saxophone, I've been playing since grade 5 and am currently in our school's Jazz Band.
I've been playing guitar for awhile. I'm better at guitar hero >>
But anyway... All I really play on it is Big Blue and a bunch of Zelda songs >>
i can play piano very well and guitar really well,
I play Guitar!
I'm a beginner at the guitar, even though I've actually owned my current guitar for over a year now. I just didn't play it much at first, and I seem to be an extremely slow learner at it.
i am a self-taught drummer...no really it's true!

i play that too. but i quit cuz my band teacher sucks. but i am pretty good at the guitar. i love playing tenacious d stuff.
I've played drums for a little over 3 years now, but I'm gonna start playing guitar also once I get 300 bucks saved.
But the thing that sux is I'm the only good drummer in my grade that I know of, so if I wanna sing or play guitar in a band I can't?
I play the keyboard.
How geeky.

If you're really good, stay with the drums. Dave Grohl is a legendary drummer... but he wanted to sing and play guitar. I miss the old Grohl. :( Oh, and Phil Collins was a drummer who wanted to sing, and he turned into a vagina cleaning devicebag.
If you want to be in a band... eh. Maybe you sing lead vocals sometimes? Like in Grand Funk Railroad the guitarist was the main singer but the drummer did lead vocals on 'We're An American Band', one of their biggest hits.
Oh and if you're a really good drummer it's very likely you won't be too good at guitar. My friend's a good drummer but he can barely play a note on guitar or bass.
