Just look at it. The buttons are placed oddly, and the little number pad down at the bottom doesn't give it any ergonomic points.

I hate the Classic Controller for two main reasons:
1. It's shaped like a peanut, making it very awkward to hold.
2. The analog sticks rest in hexagons rather than circles.
I'm glad I got a grip for it, which takes care of #1.

I like it more when the analog sticks are in hexagons. It makes it easier to go straight forward/backward/sideways.

Probably the Xbox Controller 0 (the big one). Other contenders include the Jaguar controller (the first one on this page) and the Wii Zapper setup.
No doubt the Phillips CD-i controller.
