This was such an awesome game. I got it originally because of the raving about it, and I have to say it really did meet up to those expectations. The story and thematic setting were enthralling (very Lovecraftian), the different characters has different personalities and traits that made each one unique to play, the voice acting was superb, and the sanity effects were just mind blowing.
Some of my favorite sanity effects:
(WARNING SPOILERS)
- delete all file saves (I actually turned off my GC in absolute shock lol)
- losing limbs and then dying (I was like WTF)
- rotating statue head and gruesome paintings (really cool)
- cockroach running over the screen
- blood dripping from the ceiling and on the walls
Going through the locations throughout different time periods was really interesting. I just wish it was longer! (I heard they cut out one chapter?) I hope that after SK is done with Too Human, they can make an upgraded version or a sequel on the Wii.
Yea that was an awesome game! One of my top favorite GC games.
Dont forget the:
1. Muting of the tv.
2. Raising the Volume.
3. Ceiling becoming the Floor.
4. You become a Monster
5. Floor becomes quicksand.
6. You automatically get surrounded by monsters.
Among others.
Haha, I'd ilke to play this game, but I can't stand horror. I'm already borederline insanse, so who knows, it might make me lose it.
The cut chapter was the guy that gives Ellia Mantorok's heart near the end of her chapter. He was supposedly an Egyptian dude.
And we all know that the two greatest sanity effects were the "Sanity's Redemption" scare at the end of Karim's chapter and Max descending the ladder into...the asylum that he'll wind up in very, very soon!!
I still haven't beat that game, but it's a great game. I never really saw it in stores, so I had to eBay it, and I'm glad I did.
Worth every penny. :P

yea its a shame that there will not be a sequal. Luckly there is a game called Sadness that will be similar to Eternal Darkness.
