I was just wondering, because I haven't seen anyone buy a CD where I live in years.
The CD sections are always deserted.
My mom :P
I only buy CDs of the bands I like the most to profit them.
Everything else I get off torrents :)
I do :-X
I buy CDs. I trust the quality more than a download. I don't know if it makes any difference, but in my mind it does.
Never have. ::)
I've never bought a CD myself, people buy them for me. But I AM gonna buy Michael Jackson's Thriller 25 and his new album when they come out, simpyl cause he deserves the money.
I don't listen to music all that much, so I don't even download. But I more than gladly accept cds for gifts. :)
I do. I like my Audio with the highest quality.
Last time i bought a cd was 4 years ago.
Torrents FTW
You can't really get VG Music from CD's now can you?
Well, not in the states by normal means.
I sometimes buy cds but now i just buy the song. If i really like the artist i buy the whole cd just to support him/her.
I'd rather buy an CD album than buy it on iTunes. :P Even if it does more. :D
I got "Guns N' Roses: Greatest Hits" and Velvet Revolver's "Libertad" for Christmas, so yes. I haven't gotten an iPod yet. :-[
Only when the download isn't available at iTunes. I don't believe in ripping artists off by downloading illegally.

I know places.
I will buy CDs/records if I want it as a collectors thing, but I will usually just get my music offline.
Me. Don't have an MP3 player. :-\
I only buy the CDs of my favorite bands. I don't go out and buy a CD of an artist who I only like one song from...I'll use torrents for that or something.
Considering the fact that I still use a Personal CD Player, I still buy a lot of CDs.
I had recently bought like...4 new CDs, and my friend intercourse ing stole them from me when he moved out of town!! D:
I only buy music if I seriously like the artist. I usually do not want all the songs on an album, so why pay for them? I think it's bad to distribute files, which is why I don't do it a lot, but downloading is just taking advantage of other ppl's doings. It's their fault that they put it on the Interwebz, not mine.
And even if you don't think that way, it's not really ripping off the artists because the artists don't make nearly as much from the CD sales as the record companies do. Artists make their money from live shows and other stuff like that. Buying CD's really just strengthens the recording industry, which could become a problem for the enjoyment of music in the long run. However, there are some artists (like Indie or unsigned labels) that really do need CD sales to make any money and I support them for that. I will only buy a CD from a big label, though, purely as an act of devotion to a favorite band or artist. I also love to have CD's if I love the artist; it gives you something material to hold and hug and such. But I don't do it often.
I still buy Cd's because they sound a bit better than iTunes.
I do, but I don't get them that often.
Yeah, I still get CD's. Mostly the of groups that I like. Didn't get one for Christmas though :O Just now realized it. :P
yes!! to support all the hard work the bands put into them
plus i am forming a band, and i would want ppl to buy my CDs! i'd hate it if they just downloaded my songs; i'd get no profit!

You hardly get profit from CDs. Peopel download, they go to concert, that is where money comes from.

but if no one buys CDs, and if u do play a concert, and ppl just download CD recording of concert, you're screwed...not my main point anyway
i do
I allways buy CDs
I don't download music (even though it's not against the law here), and my dad won't let me buy songs off of itunes, so yeah, I have to use CDs.
plus, a hard copy is always good to have around.

True, if you lose all the data on your computer and something happens to the other copy of the downloads, thats $1 there for a single download loss. They easily add up too.
I also wondered that. They always say stuff like a band selling a million copies, but come on, I've wondered who actually still buys cds. Well, I'm sure there are some, but rarely anyone anymore. They are getting outdated, just like records were.
Although records are amazing.
Sometimes. I don't listen to much music to begin with, but I refuse to use services like iTunes or Rhapsody that screw you with DRM. So CD's are pretty much the way for me to go.

The music companies are the only ones making money off of CD sales. So if you pirate a CD, the band isn't really affected.

Well it does show the record company that the artist/band is liked.

Yes, but the company isn't exactly needed anymore now that we have the series of tubes.
I do. Higher quality sound, the satisfaction of just owning it, plus you get album art, lyrics, etc.

You can get album art when you download too <_<
It all really depends.
I'll buy a CD if I really enjoy the artist. I also like to have the material thing but I really don't buy CD's very often because I usually only like a few songs on their albums.
I get my dad CD's for gifts though. I just got him Bon Jovi's last CD for Christmas.

Album art can be found in google, and apps like iTunes, WMP, and Amarok can auto-fetch it. Same for lyrics.
I either buy CDs or use Limewire (lol, irregar)
my bro just got a CD....TFK- The Flame In All Of Us
I do, especially video game OST's.
I will never use iTunes store.
