Title: An interesting control change for Super Mario Galaxy
Post by: bluaki on January 03, 2008, 04:07:06 PM
If you have two Wiimotes and a nunchuk, connect the nunchuk to the P1 Wiimote, put the P1 Wiimote in your lap, and hold both the 2P Wiimote and 1P nunchuk.

Point at Mario and press A to jump
Shake the nunchuk to spin
Use all nunchuck buttons the same, jump moves like backflip and longjump work same way except that you need to point
*Point at a enemy and press A to stun
Pause with the HOME button
Shoot stars with B
To do a mid-air spin, you can either press A in midair while pointing at Mario or shake the nunchuk in midair

The only thing you can't do is pull stars and menus.
EDIT: Oh, and wall jumps and talking to people.

Also, on levels where you stand on a capsule containing the Star, you can put the nunchuk in your lap and use 2P Wiimote to collect star bits and stun enemies.
On Loopdeloop-type levels, you can do the same and collect star bits with 2P.
I'm trying to do this while playing as Luigi to add another twist
Co-Star mode, right?
Except that you don't need a second person.
