Post the band name, the genre, and (optional) why we should listen to it or (optional) if we like song/band x, then we would like this band, or (optional) songs from the band you recommend.
I recommend:
Band/Artist: Pendulum
Genre: Techno/Electronic/DnB
Good Songs: Slam, Hold your Colour, Granite
(All the songs I have heard)
Why: If you like a good beat, and trust me this is a good beat, then try out this band. A lot of the songs are good, start with slam (if you don't like that, then hold your colour or granite)
I recommend:
Band/artist: Carbon Leaf
Genre: Celtic/rock/pop
Good songs: Mary Mac(live version is way better), The war was in color, Lone Prairie(sp?) outpost, and The Boxer.
Why: If you like songs that are relaxed and fun to listen to, then these guys will definately be worth your time. :)
Band: Keane
Genre: Piano rock, alternative
Good Songs: Somewhere Only We Know, Everybody's Changing, Is It Any Wonder?, Nothing In My Way, A Bad Dream
Why: lol dunno
Similar bands: Coldplay, The Killers
Aneuretical, Murder By Death, Tapes 'n Tapes, Gogol Bordello (pretty well known).

nice to see you're on topic. Oh, and wtf ur no death note fan you have bleach as your favorite anime before death note
I'd recommend:
Band: Relient K
Genre: Punk/Rock/Christian
Favorite Songs: College Kids, Mood Rings, Apathetic Way to Be, Merry Christmas Here's to Many More, Pressing On, etc.
If you like a good punk sound, melodic hooks, and innovative harmonies with an uplifting/good message, then you're pretty set with them.
They've also played with Switchfoot and played in the Nintendo Fusion Tour.

I WISH WE HAD A BOARD TO POST MUSIC THREADS IN :robotindifferent:
Also, I recommend The Black Keys. They're a blues-rock duo that's commonly compared to The White Stripes. The big difference here is that The White Stripes are more experimental and generally poopty, whereas The Black Keys are pure blues-rock, plain and simple.
Band: The Black Keys
Genre: Blues/Rock
Favorite Songs: 10 A.M. Automatic, Have Love Will Travel, Set You Free, Aeroplane Blues, Midnight in Her Eyes, All Hands Against His Own

I agree heartily. 10 A.M. automatic is a catchy song.
In the same blues-rock vein, I'd recommend The Blue Van. Same kind of thing -- just plain and simple new-classic rock.

Primus.
Genre: Rock
Fave songs: Bob's party time Lounge, a few others, don't feel like naming them
I never heard of relient k, actually. Then again I saw it was a christian band so I doubt I'll ever come across them (not including right now) but I'm going to listen to them still.
