Build a volcano. Or maybe a model solar system? Find relationships between crystal matter and crystal shape? I dunno.
build a volcano or do a project on sexual intercourse
Build a rocket. And I don't mean those corny rockets made out of a soda bottle, build an actual miniature rocket made of metal that uses real elements for fuel and can blast over 6,000 feet into the air. Obviously, some experience in welding is required, but if you know how to do that and you have good knowledge about rockets in general, it can be done. My brother and I built one as a Senior Quest project during our final year of high school.
Whatever you do, don't try to build an awesome model seismograph, because apparently science fair judges hate earthquake-related projects and discriminate against them.
