I just played the last mission for Sergeant Paul Jackson in COD4 and it was awesome.

[spoiler]I was actually thinking I could survive for a bit after I woke up, but after the screen faded to white, I knew he had died because of the radiation from the atom bomb.[/spoiler]

Guess I'll enjoy playing as a SAS soldier now. ;D
