But what does it means certain boxes can't be opened by the Gold hammers? Does that means is a new type of secret/hidden character?

I guess so. IIRC, only the boxes showing the final movies and unlocking the Dragoon and Hydra couldn't be cracked open. Speaking of which, Frozen Hillside is an obvious reference to Air Ride.
ANOTHER thing taken from Kirby Air Ride...
We should make a list of similarities between Brawl and Kirby Air Ride...
1. General style of menus
2. Challenges
3. Dragoon and three shards
4. Kirby with multiple colors
5. Warp Star
Did I miss something?

The ability to change the stage's music?
Well, you're talking about the creator of Kirby who's working on this game... Of course there's gonna be some elements of it that reflect upon the Kirby franchise :)

Yeah. That's true plus employees from HAL lab helped on the game.
it sure does that game was great :)
It remindes me of Super Mario Sunshine.
I think it's so similar to Kirby's air ride is because the same company who made the Kirby series makes Smash Bros. which would be Hal Laboratory.Inc.
