Title: The Elements of Brawl
Post by: Rius on January 18, 2008, 06:11:48 AM
The elements released so far are...

Arm
Weapon
Slash
Magic
Electric
Flame
Launch

I'm assuming there will be Darkness and Ice. Each element has {Attack/Resistance}, which makes the Subspace Emissary very RPG like, and reminds me a bit of Kirby Air Ride's City Trial. This means you can turn Zelda into an Arch Mage, Mario into a Pyromancer, and Peach into a fierce Warrior.

What do you think each character would be best suited for? What other elements could be included, and which attacks would utilize them? If you're an analyst, feel free to include characters who you think might make an appearance.

@Apollo: I agree with Psychic, and Squirtle does warrant a water element.

Leg...

"Leave no space unused!

When two stickers offering a similar power up are placed on a trophy base, only the more potent of the two power ups will take effect.

So, for example, if you had [Leg] Attack +4 and [Leg] Attack +6 stickers on the same trophy base, the added [Leg] Attack bonus wouldn't be +10—it'd simply be treated as if you'd only put down the +6 sticker.

You should always remember to maintain balance in your sticker selections.

Also, some stickers can only be placed on certain characters. Stickers whose range of usage is limited in this fashion are proportionally stronger when placed appropriately. Do your best to find a good place for each sticker."

I think that's just a type of sticker, I doubt anyone has the element "Leg".

Oh wow, I overlooked something... which is odd considering me. >>;;

@RedSox, I think it applies to kicks and such. The potentials for Fox are amazing...

Oh, and Mario's arials.

Why can they use arm and not leg?

I would classify leg, arm, head and such as "Physical", but that's just me.
