Would you like to see a remake of Metroid 2: Return of Samus for the Ds or GBA? The game had a number of issues that made it too hard, so a remake would be nice. What I would like to see in the remake would be:
-A map! Yes, a map. Since every area looked the same, WE WANT A MAP! AND A MAP STATION!-
-Rather than a hidden Missle/Energy refill on the ceiling, how about a hidden Energy/Missle refill in a room on the ground?-
-More Bosses. MORE. Other than Gamma, Zeta, Omega, (Missing one) and the Queen, there weren't a whole lot of bosses.
-Updated rooms. More rooms with more challenges to go through! Because...-
-New power-ups! How about the Grapple Beam in here? What about Super Missles in here?-
-New Enemies. Enough said.-
Would you like a remake? I would! Vote now, even if you hate this thread.
As long as they included a vanilla version of the game like they did with MZM, but just the remake? Probably not.

Sorry for making you answer. XD
That would be interesting, but if it was on the DS, it would have some issues with the screen resolution.

yeah, I'm used to talking Civilization 4 terms where the actual term for just the game is Vanilla. it's not really used anywhere else.
Yeah! Remake in a similar way to how they remade Metroid. Put a remade version of it, and the original version of it in the same GBA cartridge.
that would be awesome!
Of course.
Knowing that you can't find that game anymore and that it is not so great anymore.

Yeah if they did that I would definitely get it because I've only played Metroid 2 for about five minutes a long time ago. Although I would probably get the remake anyway but I would want the original version included too.

Heh, someone actually wrote to Nintendo Power about this! NP's response made my day...Quote from: MasterYoungLink on January 30, 2008, 09:34:15 AM

Gah, where is that dang mag... eh... not there... geeez! Oh, wh... Ah, HA! Here it is!
Here's how the pulse letter goes:
Sender says: "Dont' you think they should remake the old Game Boy game Metroid II: Return of Samus? I recently beat it and thought it was pretty good. As long as they improve the original's poor music, it should be a great game.
HENRY SG"
NP's (specifically Chris Slate's) response: "I wholeheartedly agree! I have the game and haven't played very far into it because of it's monochrome graphics and lack of a map, both of witch can make navigating a massive world frusturating. A DS remake along the lines of GBA's stellar Metroid: Zero Mission (
shown above) would make me one giddy gamer."
You can see why I crossed out shown above cause I don't have the picture accessable to post it!

Nice! Thank you for posting it!
That would be great, but I hope thats not what the whole "dread" project is about.
Besides, I didnt have too many problems with the original.
To the poster above: N-O Map. Problem one right there.
A remake would be nice, but no map at all. That's one of the reasons why I like M2.
I agree with everything else.
