Seriously, would you want to face off against the creator of Smash Bros and Kirby? I wouldn't dought that he's good. I heard he played against Kojima or whatever his name is (creaor of MGS) and beat him badly. How good do you think he is? Discuss.
I think he's a good player. Not the greatest, but good. :P
He's good enough to defeat the Ancient Minister at the end of SSE after all others fail.
in the interview Iwata said that he is an extremely skilled gamer...
His skills...THERE OVER 9,000!!!!!! Sorry just had to do that. Anyway, he did create the game, I'm assuming he'd kick some serious butt.
yeah, he must be good, but since he does kinda make games for a living, maybe he doesn't play a whole lot on his free time.

your right there, cause the in the interview he said that his skills have been slipping due to making the games
I would assume he is pretty good at it.

He's gotta be at least decent. I mean he made the game himself...
Like how I think Miyamoto must at least be decent at Mario games X_X;;
I wouldn't worry about him. He most likely doesn't know anything about competitive smash, so I could at least hold my own.

i mean, wouldnt he want to watch a tournament or play people competitively in the game he created?

Does watching help you do anything other than learn combos? Not to mention he talks like the only thing people play is time.
He made the game.
He COULD RULE over any AI opponent.
But he probably is a good player. But I heard he likes to explore the game, not just stay on one stage.

I can 4-stock a level 9 comp, without taking damage on at least the first stock. Does that mean I'm as good as Sakurai?

Tuppy, I'm sure he doesn't take it as seriosly or go through it like we do. Like I said, he made the game himself so I'm sure he's at least decent at it...

I can 5-stock 3 level nine (that means not taking any damage while playing 4-stock) Falcos on Mushroom Kingdom Two. DO I WIN
Not to mention, like you said, they are computers. Which means nothing. At all.

no, the falco trick is the easiest in the game, actually. he was proving a point that He also knows how to manipulate the computer.
I don't think they would have made the AI predictable enough to do stupid things like they did in melee.

Level 8's are harder though. :-\ They don't sucide themselves right away.

Um... yes, because the AI programmer and head developer of Brawl are the same person.
Smash = Matrix
Sakurai = Neo
"Could I dodge bullets?"
"You won't need to."
Sakurai could win every time because he manipulates the game with his mind!
