when i animate something in GIMP, how do i make it a transparent background, but make it so the frames dont seem to just pile up over each other, you know what i mean? when i try, you see the first frame through the whole thing...hepl please... ????
Are you doing it frame by frame?
On each frame, remove the image of the last frame.
Oh wow, that made no sense.
When you go to do the next frame, you're supposed to get rid of the image before it, then continue making the new one.

so, when i see the frame, just try to delete what i see before i paste the new frame?

didnt work, when i hit "playback" i still saw frames piling up on top of each other...
well,i'll tell you what i did...
i used "color to alpha" using a weird color in the background of the image, to make it transparent. i also clicked the box thingy n the "layers" window that says "keep transparent" when i added each frame, so theres no check. i thik i may be doing something wrong...? ????
I don't really get what you did, but I know that all you have to do to get a transparent background is click File --> New --> Advanced Options --> Transparency. You could try to go here.
