Title: Disconnecting?
Post by: PHOENIXBLAST on January 27, 2008, 10:32:38 AM
What happens if a person disconnects? Do they get an automatic lose, and does it give you an automatic win even though you will be vsing a C.P.U?

It replaces the player with a CPU....

I know that, but does it give them an automatic lose, and you an automatic win when the match is over?

It could count as a reset for the player who got disconnected but the player who is still on has to beat the computer to get the win.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

I thought no matter the outcome you won if you were vsing a C.P.U because someone disconnected, right? ????

But what would be the point of even trying against the CPU if you knew you would win?

That way you can continue your battle? Well it really wouldn't be fair if you were vsing some guy and you were winning, they disconnected then you lose to a C.P.U. I thought Sakurai did it that way you can continue what you wanted to do.

Sakurai said he wouldn't really use a "win/loss" system (where it records the wins and such), just that you fight for hte pleasure of it. You still want to win, but there is no "ranking" like in live or something.

Oh, why would he do that though, if you ask me I would have put in a ranking system just like in live because this is going to be a HUGE game for the Wii, probably the most anticipated Wii game. WHy not have a ranking system? I would like to battle for pleasure but I also want to have another reason for winning, to move up the ranks.

You better hope your online partner doesn't get disconnected when you're in the SSE.  That would really suck especially if you were playing intense difficulty.

I believe SSE co-op has been confirmed, except you can talk to your partner if you have them on your friends list.

More like it better be in. They took an extra three months due to "development". If they bothered to do co-op SSE, then it better be online with friends too!
