Title: Error; Please eject disc and turn off power.
Post by: WiiGuy on January 27, 2008, 11:56:42 AM
I know that we talked about this before ;)

I was at my friends house last night and when i went to the disc channel to play wii sports. i clicked start, then the screen went black, and the wii started making some noises....then the error came up.

He said that it's happend before. and he got it christmas day.

(I didn't get the error with my wii, If that matters ;))

anyway, what i'm trying to say is. is the wii in any danger?

Wow, that doesn't sound good, does it?  Maybe the disc didn't load correctly or something. Does he leave the game discs in the Wii?  The manual says not to, but it doesn't say why you shouldn't, that I know of. Maybe bad noises & errors are why  :O  I know that if you hit the reset button & then quickly hit the eject button (because you didn't realize which was which) you'll get an error & then you can't hardly get the thing to turn off!  A family member of mine did that & had to wait for me to get home & fix it.  I just held the power button in for about 10 seconds & it went off - then it was fine.  I'm pretty sure it was the same error message...might be a generic error message.  Had he been playing a long time before you got there? Maybe it was too hot...sorry, I'm not much help :(
