Title: My cat's dieing...
Post by: Psycho_Ivan on January 27, 2008, 01:25:19 PM
My life long cat, Jasmon, is apparently at this rate going to waste away due to a severely higher metabolism rate than is normal for cats. :( :( :( I loved her so much and now she's gonna be gone soon.

I require your hugs. :( Please?

This is just me, but I would get a picture of her so that you can remember her by. And give her a hug too.

I have two cats myself.

Whenever I'm sick and in bed all day.. the one that's mine will always come over to me and be silent and not ask for any treats or anything else.. she'll just lay with me until I feel better.  If I fall asleep and wake up hours later, she's still there.

I think you should spend as much time possible with your cat be it laying near your cat or having your cat rest on your lap or anything.  Just.. whatever you can think of doing.

I used to have a third cat so.. yeah.. I know what you're going through. :(

I know how that feels.

I had 8 kittens die in one day, and had an older cat hit by a car.

We've got a little Pet Cemetary in our back yard right now.

Ouch, sorry man, that must suck. I'm more of a dog person, and my dog is healthy but getting old. But, I have a friend who lost both her cats. They were old, though. I think 18-20 years old. She has a new one now. Definitely spend time with your cat and make its last days comfortable.

I had a hamster who died of cancer.  He was probably my best friend in 4th and 5th grade, so I can relate.

Well I feel like a failure right now. My cat has to take her pills with her food, but she gets full fast. She just missed it in the little bit of food left. :( But what has me mad off at myself is that I can't even force feed her the pill, dunno why but the 10 or so times I've had too have all ended in utter failure. And considering my mom is gone right now, and the rest of my family is no help at all, I'm feeling pretty stupid right now. >:(

I have a 14-year old cat so I don't know when he's going to bite the dust, but today I heard some bad news about my sister's cat.  Apparently some wild dogs came around our house and we haven't seen the cat for a couple of weeks now...  :(

I feel like I've had this argument before...

I'd rather be in pain than dead, and I hope that my hypothetical cat would have the same idea.  I do not find murder to be the answer to anything.

the only way it's the answer is if the brain is taken over by some sort of evil parasite or something like that.  I do not find any reason to kill someone if they haven't done anything wrong.  Even then, I would only say to kill someone if they will not change their ways and are in power of doing wrong to a large population, like Hitler.

Hitler did alot of good for Germany.  ALOT of good for it.  doesn't justify his mass murder of people, but people painting him as completely and totally evil are wrong.

There's a difference between "pulling the plug", or "letting someone die" and murder.

there are some people who I would rather have dead in the world.  namely the people that run the fast food industries.

I know how that feels.

I had 8 kittens die in one day, and had an older cat hit by a car.

We've got a little Pet Cemetary in our back yard right now.
what the hell? 8 cats?
My family took in a stray cat that was preggers.  She was abandoned by her owner when she was evicted from our neighborhood.
Huge tweeker.

Anyways, she had her babies within a week that we took her in.  She had 8 of them.  They were all healthy and everything, until a week later they all became very, very sick.  They wouldn't nurse.  They became incredibly skinny.  My mom and I tried to feed them ourselve, but it wasn't doing any good.  We took them to the vet, and they said the best thing to do was to put them to sleep.  My mom and I cried so intercourse in much.

Within that week, one of our older cats that we had for years was hit by a car.  The worst part was that our neighbor's kids, who are less then 10 years of age, loved that cat.  They came over that day sobbing their eyes out.
