Title: How about this?
Post by: Skye8600 on January 28, 2008, 01:03:40 PM
this is a direct quote from Sakurai in part 5 of the interviews.
"Right. The development for Smash Bros. Melee began soon after the GameCube was released and we had to design each character from scratch. This time, however, we were able to borrow characters from various development teams, which was a big help. Take The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess from the Zelda series for example. We were able to design the Smash Bros. characters by adapting them just as they were modeled for the original titles. "

using windwaker models?
does this only portray to the trophies, or could it mean something more?
discuss.

Well, we know that there is a WW Link trophey, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if he was the new Young Link.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the Windwaker trophy since this quote was taken from the section about stickers and trophies

Well, the first thing that went into MY mind was WW Link.

But, it COULD also pertain to throphies and Stickers! Or maybe even some bosses! :O

I almost made a topic for this but I thought the trophy thing may get in the way.  WW link still has chances.  It wouldn't suprise me if he got in but he'd look weird with Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf from TP in the Zelda rep line up for Brawl.

This quote is FOR WW Link, not against him.  I mean, he states his example right along with TP Link, and we all know that TP Link is more than just a trophy.  ;)

And as for the WW Link trophy having a different costume, who cares?  If Mario can be playable in his normal form and still have a Strikers' outfit on his sticker, why can't WW Link be playable with his PJ outfit on a trophy?
