You punch in the code on iTunes (I think it is in account options), and you get a credit that appears next to your account name. This will decrease as you buy music.



BTW,

compressed music = fail. DRM = Epic fail.

Fail 80% less hard: Buy iTunes Plus.

Or use QTFairtunes, if you can't avoid buying music from iTunes all together.
