Title: Cool 360 Tutorial--100$ save for ppl who dont want the 360's wireless adapter
Post by: DIMENTIO1 on February 01, 2008, 01:39:22 PM

how to get internet from your laptop for your xbox 360 or any system/computer that has a Ethernet Port

go into Command Prompt and type in :

ncpa.cpl

press enter then a network connection page will appear.
right click on it, click properties, click the "sharing" tab, and check off "share". and apply settings. then connect a Ethernet cable between the laptop and the 360 and there you has it-- a wireless connection without the 360's wireless adapter, thus saving you 100$ ( for the wireless adapter). this will also be useful for when you dont have internet but you leech from a nearby wireless network with a router/laptop. saving you the bill money for internet. not that i do it  :P but i thot some of you were looking for this kinda info. (doubted)

if GameBridge is compatible with Leopard or vista ( if its possible to even install vista on a Mac )

Right, good luck with that. GameBridge doesn't work on Vista, and I have even less reason to believe it works on Leopard.

Meh. I prefer the hack I saw a while ago where you hack a wireless router to make one. I forget which router they used, other than it being Linux based (which doesn't narrow it down).

But the laptop will be over $100. And the router hack I mentioned is only about $30 plus tax and some time.

I think Dementio meant that this was for people with a laptop and don't want to get a wireless adapter.
