("Concerning general discussion encompassing a variety of topics." Also, there is no rule saying I have to post Smash Bros. related topics in the Smash Bros. board. So don't move this thread to the Smash board unless you find me where it says I can't post this here. Thanks.)
I've seen a lot of Brawl videos. Is it just me, or does it seem slower than Melee? As in the overall tempo just seeming not as quick and actiony?
If it is just me, then by all means let me know, but does anyone else notice a significant drop in speed in the gameplay videos you've seen?
It looks fairly faster in my opinion.
Sakurai said he made the game slower on purpose because there is a lot more happening on the screen.
Looks the same to me
In before move ;D
Its faster than 64, but a tad slower than melee.
PY floated thread.

Also, the focus is aerial, therefore, it will be slower.
I've herd spoilers about brawl some of the characters they are adding is making WORSE than melee, imo characters in melee > characters in brawl, but the character i will and always play as is in there so it doesn't concern me
... really.. it looks faster to me...

Well, we'll see about that. Does it move a tad bit faster if there's not as much on-screen, you think?

if i told you some of the thing they did with the characters you would probably agree
I'm guessing it slows down with lots of onscreen action, and speeds up when there's not much going on.

Its intended.
That's interesting. Some people I know didn't like how Melee moved so much faster compared to N64 Smash.

That sucks. People should just learn to develop super concentration.

Why don't you just say it?
Brawl is in fact, slower than Melee. Anyone who says differently is wrong. No questions asked.
I think they did this so the aerial combat would be at realistic speed compared to the fighting done on ground. There were apparently complaints that Melee's combat was way too fast.
It is because you saw videos of Brawl in Youtube right? Well, watching videos of FFX looks with a very little frame rate.
