I have decided that I am definitely getting a mac, hopefully a notebook, because I already have a PC. but I want to know which one to get.I'm most likely getting the macbookpro but what about the others like the desktop computer or the macbook air?
:O
It's so lite!
GENIUS SHUT UP YOU FAT FU- oh wait, this isn't a hate thread.
Well, you have a couple factors that will help you decide:
-Are you traveling more often than you are at home?
-How often do you travel great distances?
-How much money are you willing to pay?
-What are you looking for in your computer?
-How much do you plan on using your computer?
-Will you be downloading lots of content?
Answer these questions and I'll see what I can find for you.
Do not get the Air. It's an overpriced POS you can't use most anything with, has a PATA drive, and doesn't even have an optical drive.
Macbook Pro is good, but I'd wait for the update Apple supposedly has coming.

So why do you need a laptop now if you not even gonna be mobile?
Use a desktop and wait until college for when a newer model will be out and you might actually need it.

If it's not for another two years, wait. No need to rush. And if you want games, you're looking in the wrong catagory.

Whats more convincing than "im going to college"?
Anyway, if thats the case get a good solid one now and hope it lasts 2 years.
If money isn't an issue, then just wait and get the new MBPs when they come out later.

Trust me WG, they'll pay for you at college. My sister got one for college and she's doing just fine.
I'm acually kind of curious about the air myself. I have a Dell Inspirion 1501, and I use it for every day use and at the auto shop for engine performance mesurements and what not.
I guess I'm getting the macbookpro but I'll wait a bit longer to get it maybe untill the summer. thnks guys.

i think a macbook would be faster than the Air since it has moar memory/ram. that is, if you choose to get more than 60 GB
PCs are better. Mac has absolutly NO good games. :-\
ONLY good games I'VE ever seen on Mac are Bugdum (Old school awesome game right thar.), and Duke Nukem 3-D.

While it's true macs don't have many games, macs are superior to PCs cause they don't get viruses. 8)
Macs get great games like Marathon and Shadow Warrior!

Lies. While it's true there are many less viruses for Mac, any system be it Windows, Mac, Linux, BSD, ect can get a virus.
The Black Mac Book with the 160GB should be perfect for anyone.
