Title: We gotta bring a song into a class...
Post by: Shujinco2 on February 13, 2008, 09:32:15 AM
And I want to be REALLY obnoxious about it.

I want a song that either A) Nobody will like, or B) Is INSANELY long.

I was thinking about Revolution #9, 2112, Dazed and Confused, Close to the edge, Moby Dick, Rita Skeeter (Harry and the potters), or some random Bethoven song. (There's one that is 72 minuites long LOL.)

Any suggestions?

I used One Winged Angel when I had to bring in a song for my class in my sophmore year.  If I was you though, I'd totally use 'Never Gonna Give You Up'  :robotveryhappy: .

You can't do that at my school without getting your ass kicked.

Why do you have to bring the song, specifically?

Some crappy reason. I think it's "How does this song represent you" or something.

Also, I'm allowed to bring in two! ;D

Bring in:

1) Beatles- Revolution 9
2) Pearl Jam- Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me

Go listen to the second one, it's the Revolution 9 of modern music.

Well, I'm trying to bring in an annoying song (That would be revolution #9), and a VERY long song. (Moby Dick, Close to the Edge, 2112, Dazed and confused, that random bethoven song that's probably 72 minuites long, etc.)

I think a mixture of the two would work better than 2 random noise songs or 2 INSANELY long songs.

I'm playing Revolution #9 this monday, and the long song the next monday. ;D

Organ²/ASLSP (As SLow aS Possible) - John Cage

It's an organ composition that was intended to be "as slow as possible", which may or may not be a joke.  There is a 9-hour version of this song available on the Internet (divided into 9 hour-long segments), and there's some random church that is playing it for another 620-something years.

Ugh... That song...  This one time in Jazz band, the chorus instructor from our school had our rhythm section record that so they could have it without the vocals, and they spent the better part of 2 days on it.  Needless to say, I hate the song.

It's really a simple song, aside from the Piano thing, It's not that impressive instrumentally.   Just your basic ROCKIN' Guitar, and ROCKIN' Cymbals.

Our Guitarist was making fun of how lame it was the whole time.
