I think it was probably do to production issues...
But then again, can't you make like several thousand discs in one day and millions in just one week? :-\
Maybe there's a shortage of paper to make the massive instruction book. :D
I think it was for translating the vc games.
NOA got lazy...

Could you imagine if we got Mother 2 on the SNES as a demo?
But not Mother 3? :D
Production
you mean the Feb 10th one? Or the march 9th one?
probably due to not having enough copies...:P
It was probably for translation in general.
Remember they had to translate 600-something trophies and all that jazz. ;)

They knew about all those how far ahead of time?
Not to mention it's not like it's a large amount of NPC text like in Pokemon or someting. This is like two paragraphs at most. Not to mention it's not like it has to be "translated". As long as its' teh same general idea for each trophy, no one really cares too much X_X;;
This is my theory:
They had a bunch of copies ready for Feb 10th, then they found a big glitch when testing, thus having to get rid of those useless copies to make new ones. For Japan to get them on time, they had to ignore American copies 'till they had enough to release for Japan, thus pushing the American release farther.

That would have to be the dumbest reason to delay a game. If I were to guess I'd say that it has something to do with the Wifi network and its limits.

It's Wifi and there is no record keeping, so they have infinately less space to worry about than Microsoft does, and they have more people logging on in one day that a lot of Nintendo stuff in a week, so it's not a limit issue unless NoJ/NoA is lazy

Well, if it's not that than we could it be. I don't think it has to do with translation.

No game can be free of glitches. ::) And hope Sakurai doesnt see the vids of the already discovered ones. It seems regular gamers are always better glitch finders than their beta teams *looks at Sonic Next Gen*. ;)
