Title: Urban Legends (Pretty long read)
Post by: Ridley on February 15, 2008, 08:46:59 AM
Do you have any urban legends wher you live? Here in NJ we have the NJ Devil obviously but we have a lesser known legend. Her name is the Pig Lady. The story takes place in the 1920's. She was born deformed with her nose looking like a pig nose. (Now we know where she got the name) Everyone around her treated her badly for her life. When she turned 32, she took an axe and murdered her parents. She also murdered anyone that moved into the house that her parents used to live in. She ended up killing an estimated 12 people. Now there is some... special person claiming that he sees her ghost. Apparently the ghost hates porkey pig comics. He says he left a porkey pig comic taped to his car window and left it there so he could make a quick beer run and when he came back, it was torn up. He also claims that she pushed him into his car and made howling noises and left some droppings in the woods. According to him she does not haunt the parents house but rather she haunts the possesions of her parents buried underneath her house because the house was torn down in the 1950's. She only comes out at night and mainly comes out on Sundays. She does not come out if it is raining. This all happened in Hillsborough. Any stories you would like to share? ALSO I AM NOT THE WHACKO!!!! I read this from Weird NJ.

my city has an old State mental hospital, there are many stories about ghosts and what not there, but none are really "Urban Legends"

You could tell us one of the stories right? Also what do you think of the story I told?

"He says he left a porkey pig comic taped to his car window"
...Why would he tape a comic to his window?
Also, there's an urban legend about a haunted road around here. Can't remember the name.
Ricky Road? Rick Road? Eh.

He wanted to leave it in plain sight so he could see what would happen.

I live in MA, and we know about the Salem witches of course. I don't live too close to Salem though. Aside from that, nothing much. Multiple stories about old decripit houses (we were in like 3rd grade and made up half of em), aparantly there is a ghost that roams the back roads at night. Speaking of legends, you know one about if you run up and down the stairs at midnight, the devil appears at the top? When my bro was about 7, he had a sleepover with some friends and they tried this. Then my sister woke up and decided to go downstairs for a drink. She was wearing red pajamas and they all ran away screaming. :D This was before I was born.

And God knows what else is in that darn Lake...

Really the only one I know about is one I made up. With friends of course.

We somehow got onto the subject of Peach pie smelling like feet. Well, the people hated the smell so they invented a pie that didn't smell. Well, it got rid of one guy's feet. And he put springs on inplace of his feet. Wel, he would eat other people's feet believing that he would grow them bacl.

We called him Stumpy.

Alright. Here is another story. One night, this guy was driving home for work. While driving home something ran across the road. He figured it was a stray dog. He liked to take strays home on occasion and decided to help this one. He pulled over and got out. It ran into the woods at the side of the road. He walked over to it whistling for it. All of a sudden, it stood up. It was 8 feet tall and its eyes were glowing red! He ran to his car and drove back to his house as fast as he can. After a 2 days, he thought it was his imagination. But then at he started hearing noises out his window. After around 5 days of it he decided to look out his window. He saw the "thing" look at him and run away. He hasn't seen it since but now, every other week when he drives home at night, he sees red eyes looking at him in the woods.

Over in Cassadega, Florida, where many Spiritualists reside, there is a gravyeard on the border of this town. Next to one of the graves, there is a brick bench... This is the Devil's Chair. One legend has it, that if you sit there around midnight, Satan himself will appear and have a conversation with you. I'd like to give him a stern talking to. Or maybe kick him in the 'nads... If he has any.

Also, in a spot in New England, there's this creepy road with the grave... of a vampire. I went on this road when it was raining at night after a hit day... Steam on the ground, very creepy.

Back In Canada when I was still in elementry, it was recess and I looked at a hill. I could of sworn the build a house on that hill that was gray...the next day it was gone. My friend who went to 7th grade started a disscuison about ghosts and said that he saw a house on the hill that was the next day. I was really spooked because I saw the same thing in the same grade at the same place.
When I lived in New York we had a ninja bulgrler. He robed old lady's houses and was dressed as a ninja and has ninja like reflexes robed over 15 houses and never got caught.

I'm sure you've heard of the Melonheads. They live in Connecticutt, not just Ohio. Their ancestors were banished due to supposed witchcraft, and ran into the woods, and the inbreeding began... They became insane, large-headed cannibals, who will eat anyone in the woods...

Some kid apparently hung himself from the catwalk in the high school's auditorium.

Also, Audie Murphy lived in farms between Farmersville and my town

We have multiple ghost stories in our town, one of which has to do with bunches of gold coins hidden in an old house.
