Title: Review scores...
Post by: Tupin on February 16, 2008, 12:07:47 PM
So far, the only reviews for Brawl are a 40/40 review by Famitsu and a 10/10 review by Nintendo Power.

What do you think other popular review outlets will give it?

I think most reviews will at least be 9.0. IGN has already stated that they won't rate the game higher than SMG or MP3. But they did say that it was getting a 10 in replay value.

It will probably end up with an average or 9.4 or 9.5, but it will sell more than Melee and any other Wii game... even Wii Play.

I am expecting it to be a good game....9ish, but of course, I haven't played it yet. My review will be up within a week of playing, and we all know my opinion is the only one that matters.

Thunderbolt,
Metacritic
and Game rankings.

Gamespot and GameInformer are going to give their usual "We hate Nintendo" biases in their reviews, so I really don't care about them.
IGN...should give it at least CLOSE to a 10. This game should be better than Galaxy/MP3 in quite a few ways...

8.8 on Gamespot and a 9 on GameInformer.

Of course, I can't wait until the Sony Defense Force gives it a 0/10. :D

Gamespot's score: 8 out of ten, to much like the last one, added a lot of new stuff (they will contradict themselves here) that was not needed, and not enough like Halo

If you play with the Wii Remote+Nunchuck, you can use side smashes by waving the remote.

Even though it sucks and is the worst way to play the game.

Smash just isn't fit for motion controls.

No, the worst way to play the game is with the Wiimote on its side. The Wiimote+Nunchuk is the second worst way to play.

The Wavebird, IMO was one of the best controllers ever made.

I heard that the Wii Remote on its side was at least responsive. Unlike the Wiimote+Nunchuck.

Also, did they have more than Wii Remotes at the E for All demos?

1up will probably give it like, 8.5, maybe 8. Them and their MS bias.
