Because DK hasn't had a real game since DK 64.

There were too many boards anyway.

Here's an argument for giving DK, AC, Metroid, Fire Emblem, and Star Fox their own boards again:  NSider 2 had their boards condensed way before ours did.  Besides, I think only the wi-fi boards needed to be condensed (Pokemon D/P, MKDS, and MPH were the only active ones, if any).

I could have easily increased that thread count for the DK board ::)  I believe we were at 78 or something.  We were above 75.

I'm only concerned about Kirby, because I was going to make a sprite comic there, and Metroid, because I was going to make a BIG post. Donkey Kong hasn't really been...popular since the game of the same game...plus 64.

1.  Game of the same game?  You mean same name.  No, Donkey Kong Country was pretty popular as well.  That trilogy was pretty darn popular back in the SNES days.  In fact, it was pretty advanced graphic wise at it's time (not that graphics make a game.  Being a Kirby fan, you'll probably agree).  Also, you should try DKC if you have an extra 800 points on the VC, it's a platformer like most of Kirby's games.
2.  Sprite comic?  Do it here.  If I had any ambition, I'd revive my comic I posted on the DK board.  It's probably on one of the last pages in this board...
3.  I'll respect that big post, because if they somehow demolished the SSB board and I was going to make a big post, I'd be mad too.

I'm just sad that Metroid doesn't have a board anymore and due to that...  a friend of mine seems to have left (that friend being Metroid2424...) :(

metroid2424 goes to another forum I frequent, and has been online since the condensing. SIT voted to keep the DK board gone, for good!

Also, stop whining, you all had a chance to complain about board condensing before it happened, and you didn't.

If you would prefer to go back to Oldsider, there's always NS2. I hear that their Sage program is just like it was back there--permanent, biased (yes, more than the SIT selection), and as a general rule, full of dumbassery.

The SIT's vote to add a DK board wasn't even close: 1 Yes, 5 No, 3 Abstentions (which weren't formal, more like 'meh, we're too lazy to vote').
