I have it on my laptop.  I was like "cool, I got Vista".  I think they're pretty much the same, there's just a difference with the graphics.  Keep what OS you have now.

If your computer can run Aero decently. If not, stick with your current OS.

If you still have XP, LEAVE IT THAT WAY.

If you have the money for it and are capable of Running Aero, go for it.

It's not as bad as everyone says it is, there's just nothing really new about it besides Aero.

I got a new laptop recently.  It has 3 gigs of RAM so I'd think it'd handle a lot.. but surfing is slow and any media on the net (esp. youtube) takes forever to load and is inferior to my old crappy laptop sans a video card!  Even networking between computers is terrible... it just is unbearably slow.

I'm not sure what the problem is but I'm not loving it.  Vista would be a-ok with me if it wasn't so dang slow.  I dunno how but this older computer loads pages faster and everything... and it's bottom of the line and half as expensive and a few years older. ~__~

No! Vista sucks. Thats why they re-made Windows XP.

MS is going to continue XP support until 2011 so I wouldn't bother unless you need some specialized software that only runs on Vista.

Only if the computer you have is pre-installed with it.

Don't do it. It uses a ton of system resources and it's not compatible with most stuff.

If you're getting a new computer, sure. Just not Home Basic or Business.

In my experiences with it, those who say it suck are too stupid to turn off Aero since they have something bottlenecking the machine.
