How the hell will this be controlled?

I hope they use a peripheral...though I don't see how the hell this will work out.
ACTIVISION, QUIT KILLING THE BRAND. >:(

"News - Austin GDC '07: New Guitar Hero DS details
Posted by Burk Frey at 12:10:44 AM EST on 9.7.2007.
GamesAreFun is currently here in Austin, Texas, reporting from this year's Austin Game Developers Conference. For our first article straight from the show floor, we have a bit of Guitar Hero news.
Earlier today at the conference, GAF had a chance to speak with Adrian Earle, design manager for Vicarious Visions. Adrian was quiet on most of VV's current projects, but kindly slipped us a few details on the recently-confirmed Guitar Hero DS.
When we asked about the graphical style of Guitar Hero DS, Adrian responded that the visuals are actually consistent with the other games in the Guitar Hero series. That pretty much rules out cartoony cel-shading or 2-D character sprites, in favor of the established 3D Guitar Hero "look."
But more importantly, and perhaps more surprisingly, Adrian told us that - unlike Ubisoft's Jam Sessions - Guitar Hero DS won't even use the stylus as a primary input. Instead, you'll hit your notes via a brand new peripheral! The peripheral design isn't quite finalized yet, so you can let your imaginations go to work. However, Adrian promised us that we'd "absolutely love it." Strong words, but we believe him. Vicarious Visions seems to be upholding the integrity of the Guitar Hero brand, by keeping the classic style and peripheral-based gameplay.
Keep an eye on GamesAreFun over the next few days as we bring you more tasty tidbits from the Austin GDC."Source: http://gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=8317 (http://gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=8317)
Looks to me like it was confirmed in September. The only new thing here is a temp box art
Don't know if I'll get it, It'll seem weird.
Is that Pandora on the boxart though? :O

Hmm....Speaking of new people, Midori is an actual person.
She's a pro violonist. In GH she gave violin for guitar.

That's interesting....
I highly doubt some website I never heard of would have a story that no other site did.
wow it better be a gutair somehow......
It's just been announced that it will turn your DS into a guitar. Here is a picture from IGN:

Basically you put the fret button part into the GBA cartridge slot, and you hold the DS like a book and use the pen to strum the guitar on the bottom (or right) screen.
No orange button :(
I really hope we don't have to strum with the stylus at the same time, because that would be awkward.
You do Silver, you do.

The peripheral looks pretty awsome... definitely gonna get this. The only problem I see with it is the fact that with only 4 frets, i dont see how you can make it REALLY challenging... I mean i've seen some pretty challenging four fret songs but the fifth definatley adds that extra level of difficulty to it. Also for people who still use the original DS Dinosaur, they wouldnt be able to play the game at at all unless Activision made a special peripheral for the bigger GBA slot of the DS Dino...
