My best guess is that it's set in an alternate future where the Nazis were helped by dark sprits and a boy escapes from a death camp in an epic adventure to save his family. And there's also some historical facts too.
I'll have to check it out, it looks like an interesting platformer.
Or it could be about a boy just imagining all this, considering the title.
Odd...
Cute + Sepia tone + Spelling Mistakes + Nazi/Jewish Discrimination + Education Facts = ?

The creator has described it as a cross between Alice in Wonderland and Schindler's List.
It is about a French boy who escapes the horrors of the Holocaust and German occupation during WWII through his own imagination.
thats freaky
I don't think I'd ever want to play that game.
It looks depressing. :(
Holocaust? What?! That looks pretty cool. Definately keeping an eye out for that.
RACIST GAME ALERT!! CENCOR CENCOR CENCOR >:(
Sounds...dark and depressing, but it also looks kind of cartoony and cute.
I might get it.

First off, you spelled censor wrong.
And if this can happen in movies, why not in games?
It basically steals the plot from Pan's Labyrinth.

How is it racist if it's about a Jewish boy (I'm assuming?) that's trying to rescue his parents from the Nazis?
Now this would be bad if it was a game where you were a Nazi and you had to capture prisoners or something like that. *Shudders thinking about it*

It's about a French boy who escapes the German occupation of France through his imagination.
Where he has an epic adventure.

It's still not racist though.

Even though it gives out true facts and has people wearing swastikas.
I WANNA PLAY AS DA NAZIS
they're actually including that? Seriously. Even the civilization games don't have a choice to play as nazi germany or anything that even relates itself to that. ever.

It's supposed to be SOMEWHAT educational, even though some Nazis are dark spirits.

Yeah, I read that part about the plot synopsis, and I'm really looking forward to this game. If the platforming and/or adventuring gameplay holds up, day 1 purchase. I really hope they don't end up censoring it, because that would be f***ing sad if you had to censor out Swastikas on depicted Nazis and facts about the Holocaust.

so it's basically Pan's Labyrinth in Germany minus a revolution plus a war?

I don't think we know enough about the game yet to come to that conclusion. There is going to be an official announcement that was planned for after GDC, so maybe next week we'll find out.
