So how about Brawl comes out the same night as my Prom, and there's a tournement that I'm going to show up at in my tux :robotveryhappy: If I don't win, I'll be very upset.
Huh.
At least you'll be dressed better than everyone else there most likely.

Yeah.
Apparently one of my friends wants me to get wasted before I go too, but I don't think that's the best idea >.<
Why don't you bring extra clothes for and change after the prom?

that would be fun just to see the looks you would get
don't worry if you get made fun of. most people there will likely be 40 year old nerds living with their moms that have never even been to a Prom.

A lot of people go to midnight releases.

A lot of people go to midnight releases.
most people going to the midnoight releases are hardcore gamers. most people that will ever get the game won't come to a midnight release. the people that are willing to go to a midnight release are either hard core gamer nerds or peole that have been looking foward to the game for a long time.
you know something scary? over 25% of gamers are over the age of 50. those are are the kind of people that have nothing better to do than go to gamestop during the midnight release and during the school hours.

Sometimes schools in Japan cancel school on the day of a major release such as Dragon Quest because not enough people will be there to teach.
Of course, the schools probably call it something like "Teacher Conferencing Day".

uh I don't live in Japan. I live in America. and America isn't as crazy about videogames as Japan is.

I know, and Americans made the launch of Halo 3 the biggest launch ever in the entertainment industry and caused movie sales to plummet in October.

brawl will likely beat halo 3 in sales so imagine the impact on the entertainment industry. here is why brawl will beat halo 3:
1) Holo 3 is rated M Brawl is T, there for brawl will have more consumers of more ages.
2) According to some Nintendo magazine, the Wii is more popular than the 360.
3) brawl beta melee first day sales in japan. it'll likely do the same in America.

It probably won't beat it in the first week of sales, but eventually it might.
1) Sure that could be a reason.
2) According to a Nintendo magazine... (It's called BIAS. However, it might be true it might not)
3) That doesn't guarantee that it'll beat Halo...
