im 13 and need my OWN computer that is not shared with 5 other family members
it needs to be cheap ($200-$300) and stuff
i know of a few i have seen that look good:
EeePC 4G $400
gPC $200
CloudBook around $300
i would use it for photos (editing and uploading)
writing (aspiring author, too)
graphics (GIMP, Imageready)
and websurfing (NSF, Kaos Kore, my forum, youtube, etc.)
help?
Build it out of rocks.
They're everywhere, and so cheap.

A $200 computer?
That limits you to an Apple II.

not really
it could be more, like $300-$400
plus there is a $200 that looks good

Computers that cheap usually can't handle much. Try and get a refurbished used computer. They're cheaper, and stiil work well.
You really sure you need a computer? I mean, I shared my computer with 3 other family members and they love their computer time.
Trying to run Imageready on Linux machines? Good luck with that.

Then how do you have Imageready? It isn't FOSS like some of the other stuff on there.
Just save your money and get a low-end eMachines or something.

like this (http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/inspnnb_1525?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~tab=bundlestab) would be good enough for $500 starting price

GPC + RAM Upgrade is the best, that 2nd choice doesn't even have a intercourse ing hard drive, just a 4gb flash drive.
You're an idiot.
