Is SSBB SHIPPING on the 9th, or is it being RELEASED on the 9th, or BOTH? Usually, the retailers tend to ship to the US first, then to Canada... I don't wanna get Brawl 3 days late! :( Could someone shed the light on this subject? I'm hearing different things from different people!!!
I think the street date is the ninth...
Yes, Canada usually gets screwed, but luckily, being an Albertan, I have seen that the stores DO have the game in stock, they just can not sell it yet.
The game comes out March 9th 2008 at 12:01 AM.
Doesn't canada get it the same time america does?

If you are in the same time zone where it is 12:01 AM....
Hmm K... Mixed replys... Any good known sources that announced the release date? I might be able to find some info then...
@Mackormoses, soooooooooooooooo does that mean living near the border can get you Brawl, or does it count for the whole province? Like, I'm saying if someone lived in northern Alberta, since there province is close to the border they could get it at the same time as the people in southern Alberta? Basically, if a province is close to the border, does the WHOLE province get it at once? (That one sounded better then the last :P )

You will get the game at 12:01 AM at any place that has a midnight release in America and Canada.
Doesn't matter where you are. All provinces/states get it at the exact same time. Unless they are in different time zones.
So, eastern time will get it on the ninth?

You get the stupid genius of the day award! 'Gratz. Usually Canada has a one-five day delay. For instance. MoH: H2 was officially released a day after the U.S. version. Many times, even though the same date is true, due to Canada Post, and the like, Canada usually has a two to three day delay.
As for the border comment, that has nothing to do with it. Edmonton, Calgary, The Hat, Fort McMurray, Lac La Biche, all of em get it the same day.

That's what I am sooooooooo hoping for. :P
@Tuppyluver1, I think I get it know... But, if that's true, then when did stores (or, when are stores) get(ting) Brawl? It must be at least 1 day early...
@Mack
Excuse me for not knowing Canadian shipping schedules. :|

I would hope I know how Canada works :|
Would you like to know who the first Prime Minister was, and any scandals he had? How about having a woman leader before the U.S.? Until you become a political, geographical, historical, or business expert, I claim to have more knowledge on the subject.
However, this time you ARE correct, and any place having a midnight release WILL have the game available. They only do this for larger games; Galaxy, Halo, and other titles are the ones that get special treatment. Otherwise, most games (Rock Band, MoH) come out later.

So, SSBB will RELEASE on the 9th due to it being a "special treatment game" meaning stores would get it before or the day of the release date?

Most stores across Canada and the U.S. actually already have Brawl in stock, as I said, so chances are, you will be able to get it right away. Sometimes, however, they might not have it unpacked, or some other travesty, so hope for the best ;)
I don't know how to even explain it anymore...
What part of Canada do you live in? What province?

if it's not. That'll screw up my master plan! :|
Wait, since EB is part of Gamestop, would they give brawl a midnight release?

Wow, we are more in common then I thought. 0_o I preordered from Ebgames too... I don't trust them anymore with preorders though... Not after what happened with emerald...
Anyways, back on topic, I guess I'll just have to believe that I will be able to get Brawl on the 9th! :P

Why don't you call them and see?
W4W wins a prize, he got the thread locked with his sheer genius that we all missed! ^__^ I would have to admit, if in doubt, Call the Store. However, as I said, most stores in Alberta have the game, I would assume the rest of our large country would too!
