still the best of the trilogy, IMHO, even with the controls (which took me all of two seconds to get used to).
Funny how these things come back to you... I still managed to do SJF on my first try after not having done any real speedrunning in about a year. Glitching metroid games really IS like riding a bicycle. once you learn how to do it, you know forever. :P
does anyone else here SB on prime/H/2/3?
Sorry, but I can't speed break worth crap on prime 1 (players choice FTL), on Prime Hunters... don't really wanna bother... Prime 2, tried, but I guess I'm not the glitcher type, and as for 3, too new for me to think of doing so.
Oh, well, the actual prime games are good enough that I don't feel the urge to SB.

ooh, that sucks having the PC version... My best time is a pathetic 2:44 :-\
I found the major speed trick in prime hunters (imperiator after arcterra 1). Prime 2 is much harder to glitch than prime 1 unless you want to go OoB, in which case it's much easier. Prime 3 is really just too linear to be able to do much.
It's too bad I have the PC version, or else I would sequence break do much, I am also stuck on a 97%... that last missile is hard to find.

im stuck at 97 or 98%, something ridiculous like that. i eventually just gave up.
For some reason I never knew about any of the glitches in this game. I have the original release of it, since I got it a few days after it first came out.
And yes, it's the best out of the three. MP3 especially bores me.

have fun playing metroid prime for the next few weeks, and only metroid prime, as it sucks up all of your time. :P
ahh, whatever. if glitching & engine exploiting gets you high, then yeah, it'll keep you busy for a long long time. but you have to learn basic techniques first.

Please don't. We Metroiders don't like teh spam.
MP1?
Yeah. Best 3D Metroid.
All I can do is SJBF (Space Jump Boots First) :<.
Oh well.

if you can do SJF, you can do other things really easily like early missiles (just a ghetto jump off of the half-pipe in the main plaza), which leads to early morph ball.
there aren't many incredibly advanced tricks for a long time once you do SJF. the next "advanced" trick is Flaahgra quick kill, and the one after that (the hardest in the game because of placement) is Wild Early.
It's the best. Why? It had an even more epic final battle than Metroid Prime 3 (But the controls of MP3 still own.), and it had the original powerups and contained the best features of Metroid, some features that were dropped in MP3 and many that were dropped in MP2.
Graphics? Nope, don't care. Gameplay? Takes a moment to re-adjust to, but it's good.
Yeah =D.
Fun <3.

I have to admit, the graphics are still really good. Especially for an early gamecube game that was originally suppossed to be for the N64.
