There is a certain rumor going around saying that SSBB will not work on Wii's if it's
a certain amount of months old... like you pick up your Wii at Launch SSBB might not work on it.
*And also the rumor states that if your Wii has been subjected to Smoke/Dust/dirt
or has been knocked over a few times, that it could possibly hinder SSBB's playability...
Several SSBB Games have been recalled in Japans country.
True or False?
Your thoughts?

They are reviewers. Nintendo sends them NTSC copies early.
But I did here that dust was a problem with Japanese Wiis...
I picked up my Wii At launch, it was playing just fine........but then one day
it just stopped playing Wii games.
It can play Game cube games just fine, but it just wouldn't play any Wii games.
I sent it to Nintendo and they sent me a New Wii. And I had no problems ever since..
(well except the occasion dreaded Frozen Black Screen Issue a FEW Times)

But that reminds me.....just like my 1st Wii, what if we get Defected SSBB Game Disc's?!

Well, I think Nintendo has like a plastic sealant above high quality plastic.
The SNES had no protective layer.
Thus, it could be exposed to smoking, and to a lesser extent, the chemical breakdown of the plastic.
Nintendo probably mixed the plastic wrong, because not all SNESs do this.

It is true that if yo have a lot of dust in the system it won't work properly. The only other bug reported is an error message when you start the game. It happens if a gamer has not updated his Wii in a couple of months. It can easily be fixed by updating your system.

I doubt there are any problems. No way Nintendo messes up its own system like that.....since htey made it and all.
Also, the Wii is only a year and a half old. If any games where going to mess it up, it would've been either Zelda or possibly Super Paper Mario. The system is broken in enough to where if a game screws the system up, then the system itslef (not the system in general) is having problems.

Actually, it has nothing to do with dirt or smoke. The plastic Nintendo used on NESs and SNESs turn yellow with age.
So if I got my Wii in September 2007, hasn't been dropped, or dusty, and will read not scratched games, will Brawl work for my Wii at good chances?
My wii has toppled over sometimes, but never dropped.

No, it doesn't. The problem is dust in the Wii. It's not a game problem, so delaying it wouldn't do anything for it.
So it has turned out to be true that SSBB might not work on some Wiis. I'm starting to worry. I am having bad luck latley.

I got my wii at release and it works fine for me. Maybe you guys who have it busted should keep you're wii's cleaner. I wipe mine of dust every day because it is in a basement.
Kind of presumptuous statement there... I take amazing care of my Wii, including cleaning it. Bought SSBB today, and it doesn't work. And I guarantee you it's not because of a lack of care for my Wii...
Well I got my Wii on launch and it works fine. But I did hear that some Wii's can't read the disk if it has dirt and dust in it or something...
8 times I tried until the disk worked, weird.
i got mine last february and it worked fine on the first try. :D
first one out of the box, baby!
its working fine for me

I picked up my Wii At launch, it was playing just fine........but then one day
it just stopped playing Wii games.
It can play Game cube games just fine, but it just wouldn't play any Wii games.
I sent it to Nintendo and they sent me a New Wii. And I had no problems ever since..
(well except the occasion dreaded Frozen Black Screen Issue a FEW Times)
>_>
But that reminds me.....just like my 1st Wii, what if we get Defected SSBB Game Disc's?!
Probably not.
If Wiis crash, usually they make this long beeping noise.
Yeah, thats happened...
*pulls the power plug* there problem solved.
I suggest everybody clean all dirt/dust away from your Wii's and NO SMOKING around your Wii's either!
smoking.. Ew anyway.. i don't think anything will happen,
but my wii does sing when it is playing brawl... it makes a wrrrrr sound

It's saying Brawl is over 9,000! when it goes "wrrrrr". :P
I myself think it's fake. It's been exposed to being knocked over many times, kicked by a baby cousin and pee'd on, cousin dropped it. And my wii is from launch so, it's probably false.

I want one of those yellow SNESes. They actually look cool! :)
Anyway, won't be a problem for me! I haven't even GOTTEN my wii yet! :)

Yeah, I think people should learn based on what smoke did to Super Nintendos.
You make me fell bad about my yellow SNES :(.
Works for me and I got it when the Wii launched.
