Apparently we can get the domain back from EJRaven and NS2. However...there's a massive downside.
We have to pay $2000. .____.;
I doubt they're going to want us to pay it all at once, but I think they want some sort of down payment...I'm still talking it over with Metaknight, and there may be other options. In the meantime...that pretty Donate button down there is calling for you. :P
Why $2000? It's your domain. Snorkel had no right to do what he did.
how much does this current domain cost you? You're going to eventually need donations anyways to keep this place running.
do not give in to EJ. he's making no money off of the domain and is looking to sell it. intercourse him and his rules. If we're getting the domain back, we're getting the money out of Snorkel.
While I don't like what EJ and Snorkel did on principle, there's no one here that's going to donate that amount of coin.
Seriously, if people are too intercourse ing lazy to bookmark this URL, I say that they belong somewhere else, anyway.

Alright I was saying since I remember one site I helped out at they had a board just listing different ads.
ads at the bottom of the page, below the donate button wouldn't bother anyone.
if you wanted to get lots of adservice, have an ad as you go into the site, but able to turn it off if you're a member. it would both attract people to the site & generate revenue.

Hm, that could work. Actually, the little Google thing below the Donate button is an ad...
If it even shows up, that is. >_>
yeah, put more ads at the bottom. click them for money the same why as after you beat classic in brawl you shoot the pictures for money. :B

That URL is not worth $2K. Let EJ have it and not make money off it, rather than suckering us out of twice the amount he paid for it. You already have the .org extension. Just get that in place and then continue efforts to reclaim the old domain.

But I'm pretty sure at this point there's no way we can get it back without paying at least some money. And apparently Snorkel was paid $2000 for it in the first place.

Doubting that. EJ just wants to make a nice $1K profit off you. You're being set up to be ripped off, again. And yes it will cost money if we want the name back...but not that much. It's not even worth it at that point.

It's not worth it. We do need donations, but not to buy our domain back. We may as well get a new one.
I wouldn't cave into EJ's demands just yet, if ever. It's not like that domain is absolutely integral to our future. I'm sure most people understand now that nsiderforums.net =/= this place, anyway, unless they're slowpokes.
