Title: Your favorite games that didn't become so popular
Post by: DSWiiMaster42 on March 30, 2008, 10:10:43 AM
Here are mine:

Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (PS1)
A wonderful platformer. It's about a cat/dog thing named Klonoa, and he has to save a girl from the evil lord Ghadius. The graphics looked poopty (well this is a PS1 game anyway), but the gameplay was great and the music is some of the best on the PS1. Later, a sequel to the game was released on PS2, and there were also some Klonoa games on GBA as well.

Jet Grind Radio (Dreamcast/GBA)
One of the earlier games on Dreamcast. It's kind of like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, but with cartoon-style characters, roller skates instead of skateboards, and you can even do graffiti.

Toejam & Earl (Genesis)
This game is pure gold. It's about two aliens that crash-land on Earth, and they have to find all of the pieces to their ship so they can return to their home planet. I've only played the first game in the series, I haven't played Toejam & Earl 2 (Genesis) or Toejam & Earl 3 (Xbox).

I'll continue later.

I miss GOOD Spyro. The ones made by Insomniac. :(

Ratchet and Clank just can't compare to Spyro.

Even though Sierra ruined Spyro.

Type "UmJammer Lammy" in the search bar.  You'll find the Lammy on Stage doll.

But I can't find the original Lammy doll anywhere. D:

Freedom Fighters.

Thought it said Fur Fighters, which was also a sweet game.

uh no

Spyro did so much of the same thing, even though it tried to update itself between every game. Ratchet changed its entire gameplay between 1 and 2, and kept adding new things, even in Deadlocked, which wasn't as good as the others.

It's just not fun to me.

I don't know, maybe if I play more than just the first game, my opinion will change.

But Spyro 1, 2 and 3 are some of the best platformers ever.

IMO, R&C 2 > 3 > 1 > Size Matters > Deadlocked.

The PS1 Spyro's were good for their time. But go back and play the first one right now. The first one has not aged well at all. The second and third are still pretty solid though.
