Title: What in God's name did Snorkel do?
Post by: Kilroy on April 02, 2008, 02:10:23 PM
I was bored and skimmed through The Bulletin Board, and I see the topic where "Snorkel" resigned, and the first three pages are crying and crap, then the last three are all insults and such. So yeah, I'm confused.

If you want to lock this, go ahead, I dunno if it's breaking any rules, but if you do lock it, someone PM me the story...

The original web address/domain was sold illegally by Snorkel to NS2's EJRaven.

Hence http://nsf.projectfcd.com/index

OK, I pretty much get it now. I didn't understand the problem other than a huge annoyance for the admins until HTA said illegal :P

He also sold the server the site was on without informing anyone, however he owned that.

And the lame part is I can't do anything without contacting a lawyer and going to court, which I really don't want to do. It's messy and expensive, and my mom would freak.

You pretty much have a 100% success rate though, and get a nonprofit lawyer.

Yeah...but still, I don't want my mom to freak out over it, and I don't think it's worth it at this point.

One day I came onto the site, only to find that the URL was one of those lame web resource search engine things.  I went to another forum that was mainly built up of members here.  Eventually Silver made a back-up forum.  A long time ago, Snorkerl needed information about the site claiming it was an "emergency."  With that information he was able to get an exact copy of the site.  It looked as if this site was coming back at one point, and it in a way did, but it wasn't owned by Silver and the admins anymore.  dadada, after a while of boredom on the small backup forum, we got this site.  Totla made this hilarious "you are banned" message thing on the old site.   Now if you try to go to nsiderforums.net, it leads you to nsider2 forums, which now owns our adress.  And now we are all here la de dah....

Of course it is, when you're not the one who has to sit in the courtroom.
