Nintendo is having a survey about which games people want on VC. Although they say that it won't have a direct response on what games get to the VC, I imagine it will be like this:
Nintendo: OK fans, what do you want?

Nintendo: Umm.... no. Let's add Superman 64.
But the largest Earthbound community on the web knows about this, so....

I'm with Iwata, moreso for Banjo (and if Donkey Kong somehow got on it). Conker for the Xbox sounds like it's pretty good.

I would want earthbound, it seems like a weird, cool game.
I'd also like to see translated fire emblem and Guardian Legend.
