Don't say portables, because I'm referring to Nintendo's home console systems. Vote for your favorite, second favorite, and favorite game for those systems.
Surprising as it may be, my favorite is the Super Nintendo. Why? Because while 3D games are fun and "the way of the future," I stick with my favorite 2D games, like Super Metroid. I think this was one of the systems to revolutionize gaming. My second favorite is the Wii. My favorite game for the SNES is Super Metroid and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. For the Wii, it's SSBB.
Another reason is because the Super Nintendo controller is the best game controller to ever exist, and I stand by that. The Wii is second, but still good.

number one is the SNES

However, ALTTP was EPICNESS! :)

Gee, I've heard you don't like it.
I also haven't heard the word Famicom in a while. Good old Famicom...wait, you actually owned one!? :O

Actually, no, I never did. But I knew someone who had it. Didn't play it much, as I didn't see him much, but when I did, it was epicness!
However, trying to play Mother was a pain. I couldn't read a thing, and believe it or not, got boring due to lack of info. :-\

I see.
N64, by far. It has such memorable games, and characters. Star Fox 64, Majora's Mask, Wave Race, Goldeneye, and so many more that I would be here for hours. Face it, the 64 is THE best.

*Continues to be biased towards SNES*
in my opinion... N64>Xbox 360>Wii>
Good lord, people actually like the N64 that much? That was kind of a poopty generation for games if you ask me. I mean, it was a good console, but the GCN 1-upped (lol geekiness) it by quite a bit.
SNES was my favorite, and probably always will be. Most of my favorite games are on it. It had a huge selection from pretty much any genre, especially quality RPGs and platformers.
But anyway, if you're curious, here's my overall preference:
SNES > GCN > N64 > NES > Wii
It'd be nice if more than 5 games were worth the trouble on the Wii. At least the NES had the whole Mega Man series, if almost nothing else.

HOW DARE YOU INSULT THE GREAT N64! >:( It had tons of excellent games, let me list them:
1. Ocarina of Time
2. Conker's Bad Fur Day
3. Super Mario 64
4. Banjo-Kazooie
5. Goldeneye
6. Star Fox 64
7. Mario Kart 64
8. Kirby 64
9. Pokemon Stadium
And so much more. But back on topic. My first fav goes to N64, and my second fav goes to Wii. My favorite N64 games are OoT and Conker, and my favorite Wii games are SSBB and SMG.

K-B: Yay, someone else endorses the SNES for #1! But I didn't think the N64 was
that bad...it just had a weird controller. (Must...sprout...third arm NOW!)

Wow. That is what I was going to say :|. No joke, my first is the SNES and then the Wii. I like the SNES because of Super Mario World and Super Metroid, and then the Wii because of SSBB and Fire Emblem.

It seems that you forgot Majora's Mask, which was better than Ocarina of Time.
My favorite is either the Gamecube or N64.

I must say, N64 had great games, it was the beginning of an era, and people realize that.

That beginning had a pretty rough start. The N64 didn't manage to get a large variety of genres on it.

Only mediocre ones, and only a few of them at that.
Ogre Battle 64, Quest 64, etc.

My brother loathes Ogre Battle 64 for one reason...he saves a village, and they banish him. Then they all die. >_<
He swore to never play the game ever again for that.
SNES and Wii.
Super Nintendo was loaded with lots of good games, among them being Super Metroid.
Wii has some great games as well, and a bonus for it is that I can get VC classics and play my favorite GCN games along side the Wii games.
What do Super Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64, Mario Party 1 and 2, Pok?mon Snap and Paper Mario have in common? They were on the N64.
Wii and SNES because of the classic controller and SNES controllers. SNES had great games, and the Wii has Brawl.
I changed my mind.
1. : N64 still
2. SNES.
No game can compare to the almighty Majora's mask!
