From Ninty's Press Site:
"...Nintendo also finished with the top-selling U.S. game of March. Super Smash Bros.? Brawl, which launched March 9, came in at No. 1 with 2.7 million units sold...."
"Nintendo systems represented 58 percent of all video game hardware sold in March in the United States," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "We expect our momentum to continue with big upcoming game launches like Pok?mon Mystery Dungeon, Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit."
Considering Brawl's good sales, thus far, do you think it will break Melee's dominating record...or will the year (from release) difference be too great? Discuss sales figures.

So, I am thinking the year difference didn't help much, seeing as many would have picked it up at launch.....and really, 6 million in one month o.O
Well, Brawl's doing well as expected. How well did Brawl do in Europe?

As far as I know, Brawl doesn't even have a release date for Europe.

They got Mario Kart Wii instead.
The delay of Brawl was one of the main reasons that Datel (A British company) released a Wii Freeloader.
There are sites that are selling the North American version of the game and a Freeloader to Europeans that speak English.
Tough luck, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. :P

Sorry, I wasn't being specific. It's 6 million combined, and 250,000 in one month.

Sucks to be them. :D But I can't help but feel sorry for them.
I am rather impressed with these sales....I honestly believe MK:Wii could rival them, though.
